A short biography

During my education, I worked for accountancy firms through the school holidays, primarily in Co Offally/Co Laois, where I am from originally, and earned a good head for figures as a result.  I was brought up in a small town called Portarlington in Co Laois. Portarlington is 45 miles away from the Irish capital where I attended boarding school from the age of 11.  Starting up my own business at an early age, I would make and sell Christmas logs which helped me learn how to make money but also made me realise that it is not a good idea to try to make fast money.  Fast money usually involves a lot of mistakes and bad business decisions.

I left school with good results and moved to Manchester to study a business course at City College.  I had a good few years up there in old ‘Mannie’.  I then went on to study LLB Law in London but, after a few years, decided that the law was not for me, at that time in my life. Instead, I decided to use the skills I had gained to form a company called ETT International because I saw a lot of gaps in the market.  I used my programming skills to build up my business and used my first-hand experience to improve the lives of small business owners who could make use of our unlimited services at low costs.

We are, in many ways, London's best kept secret with very little advertising and minimal publicity.  The time will come when we will be recognised, not only as a valuable part of the British small business solution, but also as an organisation that has provided the dignity of employment to many thousands of people of different nationalities, all of whom we train to provide an excellent level of service that will help us to expand and prosper over the coming years.

Designed to solve so many small business problems, I am very proud to have established ETT International
